Mother of Pearl  Needlecase - This is classic example of a palais royal needlecase made in the shape of a quiver of arrows. Unfortunately, the pictures do not do its beauty justice. It measures 4 " in length and is missing its enamel pansy, but is otherwise in excellent condition.    .                                                                                                                            $485.00

Silver Etui  - This is an exceptionally pretty and very high quality sewing set.  The tools include silver scissors, thimble and needlecase, as well a beautiful cut crystal scent bottle with a silver top and its original crystal stopper.   The bodkin is missing and the thimble is probably a replacment, although a very good one.

All of the tools are in very good condition and with the exception of the thimble, original to the set.  The leather box is showing its age.  It appears that the lid has been re- attached to the box at some time, but it is easily the best repair I have ever seen on this type of box.   It is only discernable by looking closely at the back of the box.                                                                                       $1495.00

Tartanware Waxer -  The clan name of McIntosh is on the top of this sweet little waxer. Tartan- ware collectors will know that this clan name is very rare.   It is in very good condition with quite a bit of its original wax and only one very small little mar to the finish on the bottom.                              $385.00

Abalone Tatting Shuttle  - While this looks like it is made of mother of pearl, it is actually abalone.  Abalone has a much more delicate and fragile appearance than mother of pearl.   This lovely little shuttle is a bit loose on its base, but there are no chips or cracks to the abalone.                                                                     $75.00

The tools inside include a crystal scent bottle with a silver top,  a two page ivory aide memoire, an ivory pencil (with a metal tip), a silver bodkin/earspoon/stiletto, and a steel tweezers/file.  The tools are in excellent condition, as is the case.  The silver inside fitting (that holds the tools) is a bit loose, but I can find no other condition problems.                                                                                                               $1585.00

Sewing Casket  - This beautiful sewing box has a wonderful bit of provenance that comes with it.  Inside the drawer of the box is a handwritten note which reads, "Uncles's first gift to his sweetheart that he made by himself when he was apprentised 1843.  Had red velvet pincushion".

The box is inlaid with maple and features a beautifully crafted drawer with an ornate metal pull.

It measures 5 1/2" x 3" x 4" high and, as the note mentions, the pincushion has been replaced.  It is in lovely condition as it has obviously been a treasured family heirloom for a very long time.                                                                                  $475.00
